The twin Sirjan Icehouse was built in 1895 by Qajar era (1785-1925) philanthropists and once provided ice for the people of the city. Located in Bamid Garden, the icehouse is made of adobe and mud mortar and has a pool 20 to 30 meters in diameter with a depth of 7-6 meters and a large conical dome erected over it. The Icehouse has tall walls and an ice vault. During the winter the icehouse was filled up with ice which was then used during the summer. The Sirjan Icehouse was registered as a National Heritage Site in 2005.
