Band-e Mizan, which means Adjustment Dam in the Persian language, is a Sassanid era (224–651 CE) dam attributed to Shapur I (241-272 CE). The dam has four gates that divide the water from Karoun River between its two branches Gargar and Shoteit. The dam is part of the UNESCO registered Shushtar Historical Hydraulic System.
