Afzal Caravanserai also known as Afzal Home is a Qajar era (1785–1925) structure with traditional Persian architecture. Built in an area of 1,000 square meters, the caravanserai is located close to the Shushtar Bazaar and was used as a granary and a distribution center until the reign of Mohammad Reza Pahlavi (1919-1980). The structure was later used as a storage facility before being abandoned in recent years. The structure includes a basement, a ground floor and a mezzanine. Rooms on the ground floor are built on a 50- to 70-meter platform. There are terraces with pillars and railings. Afzal Caravanserai was registered as a National Heritage Site in 2003.
