Located near the ancient Haft Tepe site, this museum resembles Elamite monuments and was constructed in 1972 to house and display items found in Haft Tepe excavations. The museum has three halls and showcases items from Prehistory, Elamite (2800–300 BC), Achaemenid (550-330 BC), Parthian (247 BC – 224 CE) and Sassanid (226-651 CE) periods as well as limited items from the Islamic period. The first hall displays posters and photos from Haft Tepe and Chogha Zanbil and the second and third halls showcase artifacts found in excavations of the area as well as scale models of various parts of Chogha Zanbil.
