This ancient Elamite site is located 15 kilometers south east of Shush. The site consists of seven mounds and experts believe it was an important political center in the Elamite period (2800–300 BC). The site has yielded a royal tomb, the remains of a ziggurat, which is estimated to have been 30 meters tall, clay and stone tablets in Akkadian and countless other Elamite artifacts.
