Sar Aqa Seyyed is a tiered village located 130 kilometers from Shahr-e Kord and 45 kilometers northwest of Chelgard. Homes in Sar Aqa Seyyed, which is believed to be at least 600 years old, are built so that the roofs of the ones lower on the slope serve as the courtyard of those higher up. Most homes in the village do not have windows. The village is inhabited by 3,000 Bakhtiari nomads. Sar Aqa Seyyed has mild weather during the spring and summer. Sar Aqa Seyyed’s many fruit trees, springs and lush vegetation have turned the village into a great destination for those who wish to experience the simple lifestyle of Bakhtiari nomads.
