Spanning an area of 1,000 square meters, Pahneh Bathhouse is a Timurid era (1370–1507) structure that is at least 600 years old. After undergoing renovation, the bathhouse was turned into the Semnan Museum of Archeology and Anthropology in 1994. This museum presently showcases items from the 1st and 2nd millennia BC as well as the Islamic and modern eras. Pahneh Bathhouse was registered as a National Heritage Site in 1974.
