Kolbadi Mansion is a Qajar era (1785–1925) residence with a 200-year history. The house has been designed to resemble Qajar Tekyeh (Royal Theater where Persian Passion Plays were performed and religious mourning ceremonies were held) and has an Andarouni (interior), which was the private quarters used by the women and servants, and a Birouni (exterior) which was the public quarters mostly used by the men. This wooden house has unique stained glass windows and is now the History of Sari Museum and the Museum of Handicrafts and Traditional Arts of Sari.
