The Fatemeh Masoumeh Shrine Museum also known as the Astaneh Moqaddaseh Museum or Qom Central Museum is one of the oldest museums of the country, which opened in 1936. The museum is located within the Fatemeh Masoumeh (As) Shrine and includes several sub-museums.
The museum displays handwritten Qurans from different Islamic eras, coins from the pre-Islamic to the Islamic era, paintings, Khatam (marquetry) items, pots and clay vessels from the first and second millennia BC, porcelain vessels, glassware, stone carved objects, embossed copper objects (Qalamzani) hand-woven fabrics and Qajar (1785–1925) and Safavid (1501-1722) silk carpets.
