Nima Youshij House and Museum was the residence of poet Ali Esfandiari (1895-1960) better known as Nima Youshij, the father of modern Persian poetry. He passed away from pneumonia in Shemiran, in northern Tehran and was buried in his native village of Yush in his childhood home. The house was turned into a museum in 1996 and houses his personal belongings.
