The Museum of Tea is located in the Mausoleum of Kashef ol-Saltaneh (1865 - 1929), the Qajar diplomat and prince who introduced tea cultivation to Iran. The museum opened in 1992 and consists of three parts: the square tomb tower where Kashef ol-Saltaneh has been laid to rest, two 14-square-meter rooms and an entrance which displays a Persian Passion Play painting. The museum houses documents on Kashef ol-Saltaneh’s activities in the tea trade and tea cultivation equipment.

قبل از ورود به موزه چای از خودم پرسیدم مگر چه چیز مهمی در مورد چای وجود دارد که موزه ای برای ان تدارک دیده شده است. اما خیلی خوشحالم که از این موزه دیدن کردم. خیلی فضای دلنشینی داشت و کلی به اطلاعاتم اضافه شد. باور مردنی نبود که برای ورود چای به ایران این همه زحمت کشیده شده است.
