Bisotun Cave also known as Hunter’s Cave is located at the foot of the Bisotun Mountain and above the Hercules Statue. This cave is only 200 meters from the Darius (550-486 BC) inscription and dates back to the Paleolithic era. This cave, which accommodates more than 6 people, was once a shelter used by hunters. Archeologists have found thousands of stone tools linked to the Mousterian culture along with the skeletal remains of deer and wild horse in this cave.
