Taq Bostan Stone Museum is located in the Taq Bostan historical site and houses 45 different stone items from the Sassanid and Islamic eras. The museum also contains 14 Sassanid column headers with tree of life, Anahita, Ahura Mazda and lotus motifs, which were prepared for use in the construction of a palace but were never used. The museum also has a Khosrow II bust, Sassanid coffins, and pots. The remains of a Qajar Palace from the city of Qasr-e Shirin, which was destroyed during the eight-year Iraq- Iran war of the 1980s, have also been housed in the this museum.
