The Sacred Defense Museum of Kerman is located in the Martyrs’ Square of the city and showcases documents about the 1980s Iraqi-imposed war on Iran, photos of martyrs, letters, wills and other personal items belonging to martyrs as well as equipment belonging to the Iraqi army taken during the war. The museum also has an open-air display of heavy weaponry taken from the Iraqi Army during the eight-year war as well as a cemetery where the martyrs of war have been laid to rest.
