Shah Rukn-al Din Mausoleum is a structure built in honor of Ali al-Mashhour, one of the decedents of the 7th Shia Imam Musa al-Kadhim (745-799 CE) named, who was revered by the people of Dezful and its surrounding villages and who locals believe performed miracles. The original structure of the mausoleum and its turquoise conical dome date back to the Timurid era (1370–1507) and its minarets are Qajar era (1785-1925) additions. The structure was registered as a National Heritage Site in 1978.
