Located 38 kilometers from Damghan in Qousheh Village, this Safavid (1501–1736) caravanserai is a four-iwan (vaulted halls, walled on three sides and open on one side) structure. One of the most important structures on the old Rey-Khorasan road, this caravanserai has a square-shaped plan which is octagonal on the inside. Qousheh Caravanserai has 12 guestrooms and a central courtyard which is smaller than other similar caravanserais. An Ab-Anbar (water reservoir) has been built directly across from the caravanserai that provided drinking water for travelers. Qousheh Caravanserai was registered as a National Heritage Site in 1973.
