The Hara Forests or Mangrove Forests east of Chabahar are dominated by saltwater trees known as the Avicenna marina. These trees grow as high as three to eight meters and have external roots. They are often submerged at high tide and have light green leaves. The Hara Forests of Chabahar span an area of 350 hectares.
