Galedari Bathhouse is a Qajar era (1785-1925) bathhouse which was built by Haj Sheikh Ahmad Galedari and donated for the use of the people of Bandar Abbas. Sponges and other marine rocks combined with local Sarooj (mix of lime and clay) mortar have been used in the construction of this bathhouse. Galedari Bathhouse consists of a changing room (sarbineh), a hot chamber (garm khaneh) and a hot water pool (khazineh) and has five large and small domes. There is a small Hashti (vestibule) that regulated the humidity and temperature inside the bathhouse. The octagonal sarbineh has platforms on four sides where customers once sat to undress and stored their belongings in compartments underneath them. There is a small octagonal pool at the center of the sarbineh. The ceiling of Galedari Bathhouse has lightwells that provided light and air conditioning for it. The Cultural Heritage Office of Hormozgan Province renovated this bathhouse and registered it as a National Heritage Site in 2000 whereafter wax figures showcasing bathing rituals in Iran were placed inside it.
