Taqdiri Mansion

Taqdiiri Mansion is a late Qajar era (1785-1925) house in the old texture of Ardakan and once belonged to a merchant of the same name. This house is built with adobe and brick in the style of the traditional homes of the desert regions of Iran. The house has a Noble’s quarters and Servant’s quarters, kitchen, Sedaris (three-door or –window bedroom), Panjdaris (five-door or –window living room) with stained glass decorations, a central courtyard, a hall in its southern wing which leads to a wind tower, Qanat (underground water management system) and a basement directly under the hall. The house was registered as a National Heritage site in 1998 and is currently the location of the Cultural Heritage office of Ardakan.
