Located east of Lake Shorabil, the Natural History Museum of Ardabil opened in 2002 and showcases taxidermy animals, fossils and rocks. The museum has 17 different mammal, 85 bird, 20 fish, and 12 reptile and amphibian species as well as insect, plant, fossil and rock displays.
