The mausoleum of Sheikh Amin-ad-din Jibrael is located 3 kilometers from Ardabil city in Kalkhuran Village. Sheikh Amin al-Din Jibrael was the father of Sufi master and eponym of the Safavid dynasty (1501–1736) Sheikh Safi al-Din Ardabili (1252–1334). The mausoleum is a brick octagonal structure that sits at the center of the Sheikh Garden. The structure has an iwan, a portico, and two small chambers. The structure has wood monabbat decorations and poem inscriptions in the Nastaleeq calligraphy hand. This mausoleum was built around the same time as the mausoleum of Sheikh Safi al-Din Ardabili in the 14th century. Because of its beautiful decorations and the simplicity of its design, the Sheikh Amin al-Din Jibrael Mausoleum is considered a masterpiece of Safavid Architecture.
