This mausoleum was built in 1963 in honor of Grand Ayatollah Aqa Noureldin Araqi (1861-1922), who was an influential Qajar era (1785–1925) cleric.
The structure has an entrance iwan and a prayer room. The mausoleum has a 15-meter, two-shell dome decorated with Persian blue and gold mo’arraq tiles. The mausoleum has a silver lattice panel (Zarih) with embossed decorations and the walls and ceiling of the tomb chamber have extensive mirrorwork decorations.
Aqa Noureldin Araqi Mausoleum was registered as a National Heritage Site in 2001.
