The Science and Nature Museum of Shahid Chamran University of Ahvaz opened in 2004. This museum has several displays including ones dedicated to pathology, oncology, diagnostics, bacteriology, virology, mycology, parasitology, hematology, embryology, skeletology, cytology, anatomy, and genetics. One of the attractions of this museum is its fully-electronic human heart model which weighs about three tons and is 46,292 times bigger than an actual heart. This heart model has been designed so that the affects of over 600 different cardiovascular diseases can be demonstrated on it.
