The Bandar Abbas Grand Museum opened in 2007 and has been built in three stories. The first floor of this museum includes a specialized library and gallery, the second floor is dedicated to anthropology and includes a traditional bazaar, liberating Hormoz Fortress from Portuguese rule and fishing and fishmongering displays, and the third floor is dedicated to anthropology and includes prehistory, Paleolithic , historical, Islamic and coin displays.
