Located near Laft Village are nearly 70 ancient water wells, now known as Tala Wells. These wells are reminders of the advanced Achaemenid era (550-330 BC) water supply system. Some, however, say these wells date back to the early Islamic era. Locals believe there used to be 366 wells to match the days in a leap year and that each well was used on one day of the year.  Locals consider these wells sacred. Tala Wells were registered as a National Heritage Site in 1998.
