Paleolithic Museum opened in 2007 and has four halls showcasing items from 100,000 to 8,000 years ago.  The first room has a documentary about stone tools and how they were made. This hall also includes a figure of the Neanderthal man. The second hall showcases the remains of humans and animals found in the Zagros area as well as a fossil collection and skulls from different parts of Europe and the Near East. The third hall includes stone tools from the Paleolithic era. The fourth hall includes stone tools and animal skeletal remains from the end of the Stone Age and Neolithic eras. The oldest item on display at the museum is a million-year-old stone tool.
